Tanga Beach Resort from Tanzania, winner of the BID International Quality Summit Award in New York 2013
New
York played host to this year's BID International Quality Summit
Convention, where professionals and business representatives from around
the world gathered in recognition of achievements and recent successes.
In particular, the convention celebrated quality in business and
operations. Award winners demonstrated commitment to the criteria of the
QC100 TQM Model, which ensures customer satisfaction and cost
efficiency at every level of activity.
Among
this year's winners, Joseph Chome Ngonyo of Tanga Beach Resort, from
Tanzania, proudly accepted the International Quality Summit Award in the
Gold Category at the BID Quality Convention in New York. The company
has made huge strides this year as a leader not only for its sector, but
also in Tanzania. The Award came as an ideal way to celebrate yet
another successful year of operations well underway.
Business Initiative Directions
selected New York, considered the world's most important city
economically and culturally, as it is the reference point for
international businesses. With a population of over 8 million
inhabitants within an area of 1,214 square kilometers, it is
distinguished among other cosmopolitan cities as the location of the
United Nations and with its stock market as the center of the global
economy. It is also a cultural and entertainment center with a wealth of
monuments of great historical value: the Statue of Liberty, Rockefeller
Center, the Empire State Building, its museums, most notably the Museum
of Modern Art (MOMA), the center of theatrical productions (Broadway)
and the location of the world's most visited media enclave- Times
Square, all of which have made it the perfect city to present the B.I.D. International Quality Awards.
