[MAFIA-ISLAND] geographical Mafia Island is near the door of the Rufiji River in Southern Tanzania.
However,
is this island that is one of the Regional District of Coast
inakabiriwa by leaps and challenges of climate change, especially after
many of its citizens not getting the proper education.
Indicated
that knowledge about dealing with climate change in the Mafia which
also embodies more than five small islands, the majority of people on
the island still have not received proper education to cope with
environmental change (Climate Change).

With
regard to the Chief Environmental District, Gideon Zacchaeus (pictured
above) has noted that, Mafia Island is facing various challenges
Environmental including the state of climate change as a matter of
educating the public whether it is small due to the lack of the funds
necessary.
"Right
now we do not have the funds necessary to reach out to citizens and
provide education and climate change. But still there is a door open to
organizations and private institutions to reach and provide education
for now "says Zacchaeus.
Zacchaeus
added that, the issue of environment is broad because expands health,
water, agriculture, forests, land and environment at large so
stakeholders are required to appear conjunction with the government in
providing education, educational policies and procedures that should be
followed by citizens in the areas concerned.
Moreover,
he added that, in one of the smaller islands in the Mafia, there are
some islands have begun damaged due to climate change.
"There
are some islands have already begun to be affected by these changes
because yamekula ground water. Also some areas have been able to enter
into ground water and convert these areas differently. "He noted

Interviews with citizens Island Jibondo:

managed to do several interviews with citizens of the island of Jibondo
where they were able to show that the island has begun corrosion in
some areas as at present have been able to enter into ground water.
According
to residents of Jibondo where its meaning is a large stone and so it is
to the island, as it exists on a large rock at the moment some areas
sea water has entered the sea.
Swed
Zahoro Jibondo resident has told this correspondent that, initially in

"Our

are engaged in marine activities including fishing and seaweed farming

Mohammed who is a resident of the island of Chole who works in their
cultivation of algae explains that have been witnessed several changes
in the ocean, including some areas that differ from the original.
"Water
has been increasing twice as much. Sometimes we come here to catch
seaweed in the past was of much water, but there are times when the
situation becomes non-existent and the water becomes a lot more and even
throwing fear.

more knowledge is needed on climate change is knowing what and how to

In
